Commander's Notes:  "The Fall Conference in Rochester was well attended, Chuck Dresen, Dave Thompson and I were there to get the latest information and updates. This past weekend Chuck and I attended the 2nd District Meeting in Jordan. We had a couple of successful fundraising and recruiting events this month; met quite a few new eligible prospects and shared the fundraising information while discussing the current status of the remodel project. Dave Thompson, Emily Weiderman, Jason Geist and I attended the Prior Lake High School Fall Fest hosted by the Chamber and were able to solicit quite a bit of interest in the Post reopening schedule as well as the remodel in general. Please consider getting out of your comfort zone and lending your years of experience to our junior members at one of these events in the future. It is a great way to pass the time and give back to the community by just being present in the moment and sharing your experiences/stories and advice to others while recruiting new members and answering questions about the VFW’s history and future. We are getting close to "Soft RE-opening” date and still do not have new menus for the kitchen or bar. More will be discussed below for the Canteen, House and Building Committee. Thank you to those who attended the Special Meeting and voted for your future. It was a great experience even if everyone did not come out of it with their goals achieved. The final outcome was approval of an additional $200,000 loan if needed.
